Biography

My passion for this industry sparked at age 17 during my first marketing class, followed quickly by the thrill of planning my high school’s junior and senior proms, as the President of my Junior and Senior class in Virginia Beach. That early spark turned into a lifelong pursuit of business excellence.

Today, I bring more than 25 years of corporate experience spanning events, multi-channel marketing, branding, public relations, and strategic communications. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Marketing from the College of William & Mary. This unique blend of creative event production and marketing insights allows me to offer my clients an unparalleled level of project management and budget stewardship.

When I’m not designing events, I live in the Hampton Roads area, balancing life as a business owner with my favorite roles: wife and mom.

The Legacy Behind EllieCora
EllieCora is more than a business—it is a tribute to my roots. The name honors my grandmothers: Cora Elizabeth Freeman and Ellie Twine Roberts. Both were remarkably strong, intelligent Black women who dedicated their lives to lifting up their families and communities. I built this company on the values they lived by: integrity, dedication, warmth, and excellence. I am deeply humbled to carry their legacy forward, bringing that same spirit of care and high standard of service to every client we serve.
